Best-Buy - Will's Journey: Brand Story
Building off the idea of a “Hero’s Journey,” we wanted to introduce Will as an artist and mentee, and learn more about his passion and career in 3D animation. Throughout his story, we dive deeper into the importance of mentorship and introduce two key figures in his life - his mentor Jessica and his own mentee, Karl. Our goal was to tell Will’s story through his desire to “pay it forward” and pass on his learnings to the next generation of artists.
Mentorship, the gift that keeps on giving.
We wanted to showcase Will’s journey as an artist in 3D animation, highlighting not just his passion for the craft, but the power of mentorship. By focusing on his drive to “pay it forward,” we aimed to tell a story that celebrates growth, community, and the exchange of knowledge between generations, and how Best Buy is supporting these folks on their journey.




We go where the story is.
Our team travelled to Toronto to capture Will in his own creative space. We handled everything from filming and directing to post-production. We were able to capture some beautiful moments of Will focused on his work as well as moments between Will and his mentee, Karl.
