Coast Appliances - Relax With Coast Campaign
In partnership with Alberta-based agency ZGM, we helped Coast Appliances reimagine the appliance shopping experience with a lighthearted, memorable campaign. “Relax with Coast” aimed to position Coast as the stress-free alternative in a typically overwhelming category... by literally bringing major appliances to the beach. Yes, fridges and dishwashers on sand. The result was a tongue-in-cheek, cinematic campaign that delivered on both charm and brand clarity. In addition to the 30, 15, and 6s versions we created, we also created three 2hour long ASMR videos to be shared to the Coast Appliances Youtube Channel. Selling Calm in an Unexpected Setting
The goal was simple: make shopping for appliances feel as relaxing as a beach day. Together with ZGM and Coast, we developed a creative concept that captured the ease of the customer experience through an unexpected visual twist. By staging premium appliances in scenic coastal locations, we tapped into the emotional payoff of peace of mind, without needing a single product demo or spec sheet.
Nothing says 'good morning!' like hauling fridges to the beach at sunrise!
We filmed across two iconic Vancouver beaches, Spanish Banks and Ambleside. Starting with a 4:30 AM call time to catch a breathtaking sunrise. Each appliance was hauled onto the beach (no small feat), and our team ran a rolling production schedule to maximize efficiency, prepping one setup while shooting another. NoraVera handled everything from casting and wardrobe to location scouting, permits, and post (including some VFX work!). For the ASMR videos, we simply filmed a 5-10 minute clip and looped it to create the illusion of the video running for 2+ hours.
